Since March 2020, health libraries around the world have adopted a virtual service mandate, while continuing to assist healthcare professionals with their research needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Health library organizations within the western region of Canada and the United States have joined together to host the inaugural Mountain Pacific Health Science Libraries (MPHSL) Conference, emphasizing the theme of Adapting to Change in Health Librarianship.
The MPHSL Conference is open to all working within a health sciences/medical library environment.
Why submit your proposal to MPHSL?
Health libraries are seen as much more than mere information gathering places; for many, they are community centres, serving the needs of clinicians, researchers, patients, and members of the public. Greater emphasis on supplying information digitally has been relied on during the current COVID-19 pandemic like never before. Yet, despite the focus on all form of research surrounding the coronavirus, several other worldwide events taking place since March 2020 has renewed interest in locating material on social injustice, instructional platforms, and newfound ways to search for and evaluate this material.
